First a comment. This poem stayed on the board for only a day or two, due to its blatantly commercial nature. After a little reflection I decided that the board is not for advertising, even when an ad is elevated by rhyme. So this piece came down, but I do want to report the following encounter. I happened to be returning home at the moment the author was posting. This rarely happens and I was pleased and came up and spoke to him. I didn't read his poem right away, but in the course of the conversation I got the idea that it was related to his work. He was on the street canvassing for clients for his employer. That somewhat off-putting fact was made more palatable by his revelation that he likes to write poetry and that a house fire had destroyed a notebook with many pages of his work. We have only this sample to judge how great a literary loss that might have been, but he wasn't a bad fellow and I suspect had just experienced his first ever opportunity to combine his hobby with his work. Who could blame him for trying. Here's his post.
Renewal By Anderson
My glass was cracked
The frames were rotten
This was very dangerous
As it was stuffed with cotton
Anderson Windows polite and fine
Again made my home feel like mine
Beautiful and gorgeous my windows are
I give Anderson Windows a GOLD STAR
